Students selected for state Legislature internships

Ten Western Washington University political science students were selected for Washington State’s Legislative Internship Program for winter quarter.

They will work with legislators and staff in either the House or Senate in Olympia. Interns will conduct research, bill tracking, constituent correspondence and agency casework. They will participate in weekly seminars and workshops, be given opportunities to attend committee hearings and interact with staff and legislators.

Students awarded the internship include: Joshua Bird (Ridgefield), Margaret Chappel (Stanwood), Aaron Dickson (Everson), Nathan Julander (Port Angeles), Michael Lantz (Olympia), Matthew Main (Lake Stevens), Jeremy Richtmyre (Tumwater), Sonnet Sujka (Kelso), Andrew Taylor (Shoreline) and Breanna Weider (Seattle).
