Students: Linguistics Dept. seeking a paid language consultant for winter quarter

WWU's Linguistics Department is seeking a paid language consultant to participate in several interviews a week with researchers at WWU throughout winter quarter, 2022, about 10 weeks. They will be paid a rate of $30/hr via their choice of check or direct deposit.

This position will be in-person at the WWU campus in Bellingham. In order to comply with WWU’s policies, language consultants need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Linguistics is the scientific study of language. Through detailed interviews with language speakers, linguists explore the sounds, grammar and meaning of the world’s languages. If you’re interested in working with linguists at Western Washington University to explore your language, consider being a language consultant in our research.

Job Hours: 2-3 weekdays from 10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., plus additional time as needed
