For Academic Year 2019, the portion of the Student Tech Fee earmarked for Tech Initiatives projects is approximately $187,000. This is roughly $60,000 more than in recent academic years.

Comments from the Western community are a valuable aspect of the STF Committee’s decision-making process. As state funding continues to pose challenges, it is crucial that we make wise decisions in spending this student fee.

Since the Student Technology Fee began in 1996, the fee has provided students more than $15 million in technological resources and equipment to directly enhance their academic experience.
