Student Shuttle will not operate this evening

The Western Washington University Student Shuttle Service will not operate tonight due to expected continuing icy and slippery road conditions on the shuttle route. The decision to cancel shuttle service was made through consultation with the driver supervisor and University Police.

A text message will be sent out to shuttle notification system subscribers. Updates will continue to be sent daily, until conditions improve and the shuttle returns to normal operation.

Shuttle service normally begins at 11 pm, after WTA operations have stopped for the night, with the last run at 2:30 am. The WWU Student shuttle does not have road crews to help keep roads passable during late-night operation, or back-up buses to pick up students in case of bus breakdowns.
