Black and Brown Male Success Collective to host social justice through social media workshop June 14

Many people are asking how they can support the Black community at WWU during these most recent times of civil unrest. Here's your opportunity. Show up and listen to the voices of your Black peers and colleagues, to contribute, collaborate, and gain an understanding.

ALL are welcome, as this is a fight where we need everyone to win.

The Black and Brown Male Success Collective, in collaboration with the African Caribbean Club and the Black Student Union, is hosting a workshop to illuminate the voices of the Black community in response to the most recent anti-Black racist violence in the United States. First, by providing a multimedia presentation using social media and music to provoke thoughts and feelings on the recent events. Then, moving into a workshop to navigate ways to positively impact the experience of the Black community at WWU.

We look to have students, faculty, staff, and administration from the WWU community in attendance. We want to offer a space to collaborate ideas, support one another, and create action plans with tangible results for our Black community at WWU.

For questions, email Brandon Joseph, Men's Resiliency Program Coordinator, at brandon.joseph@wwu.edu or Jalen Thibou, BBMSC Student, at jalenthibou@gmail.com.

Please register in advance by June 12 to receive the Zoom meeting invite. Space is limited.
