Spring quarter full of Web learning opportunities

WebTech, the Student Technology Center, and Cross Campus Web have many opportunities available this quarter for faculty, staff and students to deepen their understanding of the web and how to refine web presence.

WebTech Lab Hours continue this quarter every Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. in Old Main Room 390. Stop by to get hands on assistance to your questions or hang out in a relaxing environment to focus on your website.

Cross Campus Web meets the second and fourth Monday of every month and has a full platter of offerings this term:

  • April 11 – Site review of the Student Health Services website in preparation for their redesign
  • April 25 – An overview of Western’s mobile application and the future
  • May 9 – Report of what was learned at LinuxFest
  • May 23 – Site review of New Student Programs website
  • June 13 – Site review of the Counseling Center website as they undergo a site redesign
  • June 27 – Social Media Strategy for departments presented by Matthew Anderson

Video Caption Training will again be offered May 3 in the HR computer lab. Learn to caption your videos for better engagement with your students and other users.
