Some systems to be unavailable this weekend

To perform important Banner system updates and apply critical bug fixes, the following systems will be unavailable or will have limited functionality from 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, until 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19:

  • Banner forms and reports
  • Banner Workflow (WWIS)
  • Banner Travel & Expense (WWIS)
  • Web4U (All Banner Self-Service features in WWIS)
  • FAMIS forms and discoverer reports
  • NolijWeb and DataTransfer
  • Universal Account Activation
  • Universal Password Change
  • Esign

WWU faculty and staff should close out of the systems listed above, log off or shut down workstations by 7 p.m. on Friday. Users can log back into their computers, but they will not be able to use the affected systems until after 5 p.m. July 19.

Services that will still be available include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Email
  • Office 365
  • SharePoint
  • Canvas
  • Library
  • Housing or Dining services
  • Student Health Services
  • Millennium FAST Finance/HR Data Warehouse
  • BI-Query and Banner Student Data Warehouse
  • myWestern Portal (Some features present in myWestern that depend on Banner may not be available.)
  • Western Home Page
  • VPN (to connect to local network drives)
