RSP workshop series continues with discussion on non-federal funds

A discussion on searching for non-federal funds continues the Research and Sponsored Programs spring series of workshops aimed at helping faculty and staff write more effective proposals to external agencies.

Tracey Finch, the pre-award manager for RSP, will lead the discussion, talking about where to look for non-federal funds, how to approach and other considerations.

The sessions are intended to be interactive and are meant to build a community for those involved in writing proposals.

Finch's workshop, the third of the series, will take place at noon April 25 in Miller Hall Room 258.

After Finch's presentation, RSP will offer two additional workshops during spring quarter, also at noon in MH258:

  • On May 2, RSP will offer a workshop on writing effective proposals to the National Institutes of Health. Clint Spiegel and Jeff Grimm will speak.
  • On May 9, Kathleen Kitto, vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate School, will discuss along with Finch the various services that RSP offers to principal investigators.

Graduate students and new faculty are encouraged to attend. Those who would like to RSVP for the third workshop or would like to be added to the email list for workshop information should contact the RSP program coordinator, Coco Besson, at coco.besson@wwu.edu.
