Rossiter to interview for director of Center for American-Canadian Studies

David Rossiter, an associate professor of environmental studies at Western Washington University, will interview for the position of director of the Center for Canadian-American Studies Oct. 7 on campus.

Making that announcement was Brian Burton, associate vice president for Academic Affairs. According to Burton, the search committee concluded its evaluation and determined that Rossiter is a strongly qualified candidate for the position.

The campus community is invited to attend an open forum discussion opportunity scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Old Main Room 340.

Rossiter’s application materials are available for review; please contact Bev Jones in the Provost’s Office to see them. Information about the position may be found online.

This is an important university-wide leadership position, and Burton encourages active participation by the campus community and welcomes comments via email to brian.burton@wwu.edu.

The position was made available by the retirement of longtime director Don Alper.
