Retirement party for Debnath Mookherjee is June 4

After 53 years at Western, Dr. Debnath Mookherjee, teacher and mentor extraordinaire, is retiring. In recognition of Dr. Mookherjee’s distinguished career, alumni are working with the Western Foundation to establish a fund in his honor. Each year, an award will be given to a Huxley College professor who best embodies the excellence in teaching that Dr. Mookherjee has demonstrated over the course of his remarkable career.

A reception to honor Mookherjee and his service to Huxley and WWU will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the Solarium, Old Main 590, on the WWU campus.
