Retirement party for Dan Larner is Dec. 10

Dan Larner, who has worked as a faculty member at Western Washington University for more than 46 years, is retiring.

Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies will hold a reception to honor Larner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the Old Main Solarium.

Faculty and staff who would like to celebrate Larner's accomplishments as faculty member, president of the Faculty Senate and dean of Fairhaven College are invited to attend.

Larner came to Western in 1968 and taught first in the English department and then the theater and dance department, helping to establish the College of Fine and Performing Arts in 1976. he moved to Fairhaven College as its dean in 1982.
