Resources for on-campus study space, computer lab, printing access

Where students can study, work on computers and print on campus are common topics for questions this quarter, so Western Libraries has compiled a list of resources to help students with their on-campus technology and study needs. 

On-Campus Study Spaces for Students

The Viking Union study space in the Multi-Purpose Room is now open for student use as an on-campus study space, M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students can also use computer labs for working on campus, (see details about lab locations and hours listed below).

On-Campus Computer Lab Access 

Academic Technology and User Services (ATUS) at WWU is managing all the computer labs on campus. The labs listed below are currently open to students M-F from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., (no weekend access).

  • Haggard computer labs: HH 101 and HH 112
  • HH 153 classroom for studying and Wi-Fi access
  • Fine Arts 101 computer lab (with Macs)

On-Campus Printing Options

Printing is available at all open labs. Student receive $2.50 each quarter to go towards their printing costs, and then can add more money to their account if they need additional funds. Students may add funds to their account online by clicking on the “Print Quota Web Deposit” desktop shortcut on the lab computers. (Please note to add funds to your account online there is a $1.00 service fee). There is also a deposit station for adding printing funds located on the first floor of Haggard Hall on the west end of the hallway (near the bus stop). (There is no service fee when depositing through this station).

Equipment Access, Equipment Check-out Options, and Hotspots

Remote Access to Computer Programs 

Students also have remote access to the programs and software on the lab computers. To access, please go to: https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/western-washington-university. Follow the instructions to connect remotely to an individual computer in a computer lab and use any of the programs on that computer.
