WWU's Small Business Development Center and Lynden Chamber of Commerce to Host Marketing Workshop May 14

Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partnering with the Lynden Chamber of Commerce to present a marketing training workshop from noon-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at Homestead Golf and County Club’s Steakhouse Nine, located at 115 East Homestead Boulevard in Lynden.

The cost is $14 and includes lunch.

Eric Grimstead, certified business advisor with Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center, will present How to Engage Customers with Event-Based Marketing. Grimstead has been with the Small Business Development Center and Western Washington University since 2008.Attendees will learn how to take advantage of trade shows and event-based marketing with in-depth insight into customer behavior to drive engagement and sales opportunities including:

 

* How to choose event-based marketing strategies and tactics wisely

* Know what to do before, during and after the event

* Align opportunities with your business objectives

* Use events to personalize outbound and inbound offers

* Capitalize on real-time customer data and opportunities
