WWU's SEA Discovery Center in Poulsbo Announces Summer 2020 Online Programming

Western Washington University's SEA Discovery Center in Poulsbo has announced its summer 2020 online programming schedule. SEA Discovery Center’s goal is to continue to offer high-quality STEM programs for local children via remote delivery.

This summer’s programs start on Friday, June 19. Offerings include a variety of virtual formats, including lessons, tours and walks.

Programs are designed for preschool-aged children through middle schoolers, and consist of Preschool-Kindergarten Science Club, Elementary Discovery Days and Middle School STEM Club. Topics vary weekly. In addition, Virtual Aquarium Tours and Virtual Low Tide Beach Walks welcome participants of all ages.

Over the last three years, program participation at the center has doubled. SEA Discovery Center now supports more than 6,000 youth from five Kitsap-area school districts. Children engage in academic field trips and SEA Discovery Center programming where they discover the wonders of the Salish Sea.
