WWU's SBDC to Host Free Virtual Workshop on Boosting Web Traffic July 28

Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partnering with the SBA to bring a free marketing workshop to Whatcom County.

There will be two separate sessions taking place at the SBDC. Part 1 will delve into how you can make your business website visible to search engines using search engine optimization tools (SEO). In Part 2, we’ll show you the benefits of using social media platforms to create awareness for your brand.

10:30 am | Part 1 - SEO: Make Your Site Visible to Search Engines

In part 1 we’ll explain how Google search works today and what you need to do to make it easier for people to find your website.

Noon | Part 2 - It’s All About the Link Juice

Part 2 starts with linking strategies, then how to create awareness and grow your audience, with an introduction to content and social media. Includes very doable ideas for creating content.
