WWU Youth Programs to Host GEMS Fair this Spring

Western Washington University Youth Programs will host girls of all ages in the GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science) Fair from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 in Western’s Academic West building.

Families and friends are welcome to come and enjoy the event as well.

The GEMS Fair provides a safe and empowering environment to explore STEM fields and an opportunity for hands-on learning. Participants will be able to learn about STEM careers, enjoy demos, take home projects and participate in a silent auction to provide Youth Programs Scholarships for young women attending WWU Youth Programs this summer.

The GEMS Fair is a free event, but registration is encouraged. To register, visit http://www.wwu.edu/ee/youth/gems/bellingham-fair.shtml.
