WWU to Host Aug. 1 Ribbon Cutting for New Kitsap County Small Business Development Center

Western Washington University’s new Kitsap County Small Business Development Center will officially open its doors with a ribbon-cutting event at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Kitsap Regional Library in Poulsbo.

Part of Western's commitment to the Peninsulas, the opening of the new center will be a celebration of the efforts of the community leaders and stakeholders who made the new center possible.

Business advising at Kitsap County SBDC will be provided free of charge to Kitsap County small-business owners thanks to funding support from the City of Poulsbo, Kitsap Credit Union, Kitsap Bank, First Federal, Kitsap Regional Library, the U.S. Small Business Association and Western Washington University.

The mission of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program is to provide high quality business and economic-development assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, and increase productivity.
