WWU To Hold Science Programs For Elementary Students in January, April

Western Washington University Youth Programs will hold “Kids Night Out at Western,” two events that provide evenings of hands-on science activities for elementary age students grades one though five, from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 and Friday, April 15.

Attendees will be able to explore “Can You See What I See? (Optical Illusions)” on Jan. 22, and “Movie Magic (Film Effects)” on April 15. Both sessions will be followed by an optional hour of pool time.

The cost is $20 per student the academic session, or $25 for the academic session plus time in the pool.

Attendees will be divided into two different learning groups, grades 1-3 and grades 4-5, and should bring a backpack, swimsuit, towel, nutritious snack and a hunger to learn.
