WWU Center for Canadian-American Studies to Host Panel Discussion ‘One Arctic or Many?’ Oct. 22

The Western Washington University Center for Canadian-American Studies will present “One Arctic or Many? Questioning Boundaries in the Arctic” from noon-2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 in the Special Collections area in Wilson Library.

The event is free and open to the public.

The panel discussion features guests Nadine Fabbi, managing director for the Canadian Studies Center at the University of Washington; Joël Plouffe, doctoral candidate from the École Nationale d’Administration Publique in Montréal; Heather Nicol, UW Canada Fulbright chair in Arctic Studies and Trent University professor for The School of the Environment and The School for the Study of Canada; and David Rossiter, professor of Environmental Studies at Western.

The event is held in conjunction with a traveling exhibition of photographs titled “Canada’s Arctic, Vibrant and Thriving.”
