WWU Alumna Keturah Witter to Speak on Environmental Consulting Oct. 8 at Western

Keturah Witter, a scientist with Environmental Resources Management, will discuss environmental consulting as part of the WWU Huxley College of the Environment Speaker Series at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Communications Facility 120 on the Western Washington University campus.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Contemporary environmental consultancies are helping their clients focus increasingly on sustainability and corporate responsibility. In her Speaker Series talk entitled, “Working Toward the Triple Bottom Line: Sustainability and Consulting,” Witter will discuss her work in environmental consulting and the variety of career paths available to students with an environmental focus.

The presentation will include a question-and-answer period. Anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend and participate.

A Huxley College alumna, Witter studied environmental science and mathematics while at Western. She currently works as a scientist at Environmental Resources Management, a global environmental and sustainability consultancy based in Seattle.

The Huxley College Speaker Series, sponsored by Western’s Huxley College of the Environment, is intended to bring together environmentally-minded members of the WWU and Bellingham communities. Speakers address topics of contemporary environmental concern in the region and the world.
