Western Washington University to Offer Fall Youth Programs for Grades K-9

Western Washington University has announced its Youth Program offerings for grades K-9 this fall.

Western has been inspiring youth through academics and recreational activities for the last 37 years. Participants will experience hands-on learning and gain exposure to a college campus under the instruction of Western’s high-quality educators.

The following are the programs being offered this fall:

Computer Science Club

Oct. 6, 13, 27; Nov. 10, 17; Dec. 1

$135 per student, $20 discount for Western faculty, staff, alumni

Let’s Make an App for That: Students in grades 6-9 will explore several topics within computer science, with a focus on app development. Participants will develop their own app by the end of the program.

 

Kids Night Out @ Western (KNOW)

Oct. 26

$25 per student (academic session only), $30 (academic and swim time)

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Students in grades K-5 will adventure through the science of stars and space.

 

GEMS Night Out (Girls in Engineering, Math & Science)

Nov. 9

$30 per student

Codebreakers: Puzzles and Problems: Girls in grades 3-8 will develop their problem solving skills as they work to solve various problems, codes and puzzles.
