Western’s Academy for Lifelong Learning to Host Spring Program Preview Feb. 11

The Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L), supported by Western Washington University, will host a spring program preview from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, in the second floor dome room at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal; the session will be an opportunity to learn about A.L.L.’s spring courses and excursion offerings, and refreshments will be provided.

The preview is free and no registration is required. a.L.L. is open to all interested adults, regardless of age or educational background. 

Taught by a diverse pool of Western Washington University faculty, faculty emeritus, and experts in many fields and professions, A.L.L. classes expose participants to new ideas and ways of thinking. Classes are held at various locations in Bellingham, including the Bellingham Cruise Terminal and Western’s campus. Learning happens both in classroom settings and on excursions, but without homework or tests; A.L.L. is about having fun while learning about exciting new topics.

At the preview, course instructors will provide brief descriptions of their upcoming courses; registration will be available on location from 2-3 p.m., as well as online anytime.

Spring 2015 offerings include 19 classes and four excursions beginning in early March and running through the middle of June. Classes range from one to six sessions in length, with each session typically lasting two hours.
