Students to Explore ‘STEAM’ Topics at Kids Night Out @ Western (KNOW) in Anacortes this Fall

Western Washington University Youth Programs is offering Kids Night Out @ Western (KNOW) at Shannon Point Marine Center, where students in grades K–5 will explore hands-on marine science in the student lab and library.

The program takes place twice this fall. The first session is Friday, Oct. 25 and the second session is Friday, Nov. 22. Both are from 6–9 p.m.

Each session allows students to take a deeper look at marine science with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) theme. Participants enjoy hands-on activities, engaging lessons and group activity time. Students are asked to come with a water bottle, weather/activity appropriate clothing and a curious mind. The cost to register is $50 per session. There is a $10 discount for Western faculty and staff.
