Kitsap SBDC Business Advisor Completes Certification

The Western Washington University Small Business Development Center has (SBDC) announced that Jaime Forsyth has successfully completed a rigorous certification process and is the Kitsap SBDC’s newest Certified Business Advisor.

Forsyth looks forward to serving Kitsap county businesses in this new capacity.

“I'm so appreciative of all the support I received while trying to learn the position, keep up with the growing demand and complete the six-month certification process. I couldn't be more excited to be putting all of my energy into making our Kitsap SBDC a success,” Forsyth said.

Washington’s Business Advisor Certification is a robust practicum requiring the applicant to submit written work and complete peer-reviewed client services to assure the highest quality of business advising. This certification program is nationally recognized for its efficacy in preparing business professionals to serve the advising needs of the community.

“We are very excited to expand Western Washington University’s presence in Kitsap County, one more example of our commitment to being the university of the peninsulas,” said CJ Seitz, director of the SBDC at Western.

“And we are so grateful to the City of Poulsbo, Kitsap Bank, Kitsap Credit Union, First Federal and the Kitsap Regional Library for their unparalleled support in making this center a reality,” Seitz said.
