‘Wizards @ Western’ Lecture Series Continues Feb. 27 with ‘The Secret Lives of Dinosaurs’

Western Washington University’s College of Sciences and Technology will continue its “Wizards @ Western” youth lecture series with “The Secret Lives of Dinosaurs” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 in Science Lecture Hall 110 on WWU’s campus.

The event is free and open to the public.

Thor Hansen, a professor of Geology at WWU, will discuss how recent fossil findings are providing new clues into the lives of dinosaurs. For example, the discovery that many dinosaurs had feathers is beginning to make scientists think of them as more birdlike. Hansen will also compare some of these new dinosaurian models with clips from movies like Jurassic Park and the TV show Prehistoric Park.
