Queer Con Returns to WWU on Saturday, April 30 for its Sixth Year!

WWU Queer Con 2022 is an international LGBTQIA2S+ student-run convention created to celebrate queer creators, as well as queer and intersectional representation in comics, arts, society, and media.

This year’s convention will be a one-day hybrid event held online and in Academic West on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special events will include a queer planetarium show, a game room sponsored by Cosmic Games, and a screening of the documentary “Fire and Flood: Queer Resilience in the Era of Climate Change”, followed by a Q&A discussion with the filmmakers. Tabling in Academic West will feature local vendors, nonprofits and businesses, independent artists, student creators, LGBTQ+ Western, and many WWU student clubs and organizations showing their support for the queer community.

Visit https://wp.wwu.edu/wwuqueercon/buy-a-ticket/ for ticketing, or to learn more about how to get involved as a volunteer, speaker, exhibitor, or vendor. Students, independent artists, and nonprofits can table for free!

The priority deadline to submit your panel, talk, performance, or exhibitor request for first choice of presentation time is Saturday, April 2. Late registration for speakers and vendors will be accepted on a rolling basis as space permits.
