Queer Con returns April 28

After a successful first year, WWU Queer Con will return for its second convention April 28th, 2018 at Western Washington University in Bellingham. WWU Queer Con is a convention celebrating and highlighting the achievements of queer creators and encouraging a queer and LGBT+ community in the Pacific Northwest.

The students and volunteers behind WWU Queer Con’s first year are thrilled to bring the convention back. WWU Queer Con strives to create an event that has something for all fans with professional and student creators, vendors offering geeky items, panels focusing on the stories and experiences of queer and other marginalized people, and the opportunity to cosplay and spend the day with other queer people.

WWU Queer Con was created by a group of WWU students who wanted to bring a queer focused convention to the Pacific Northwest and create a space to celebrate queer and LGBT+ identity, creativity, and community. WWU clubs and organization have joined forces to host the Pacific Northwest’s Queer Comics Convention.

WWU Queer Con is a single day convention that will be taking place in the Academic West building on the WWU campus, and it runs from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are available at WWUQueerCon.com. Photos and a schedule from our previous year can also be found on the website. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available for any interested parties.
