Queen's Vernacular returns Thursday, May 18

The Queens’ Vernacular returns this Thursday (May 18) at 6:30 p.m. at the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham with a screening of short works by artist, musician, and filmmaker Clyde Petersen. He is a central figure in the transgender and queer communities of Seattle and the director of Torrey Pines, a new autobiographical stop-motion animated feature that played to a packed house at the Pickford last month and in December. For this visit, Petersen will lead us through a selection of his other recent projects, including a number of animated music videos for punk and queercore bands in the Seattle area, and to engage in discussion with the audience after the screening.

Please note: There will be some graphic content in the screening and it is not suitable for minors.

Sliding scale admission, no one turned away!
