PSO Award for Excellence taking nominations through June 26

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Professional Staff Organization’s Award for Excellence, which honors one Western Washington University pro staff employee annually for having one or more of the following qualities:

  • Exceptional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in the performance of her/his job duties to the benefit of faculty, staff and students.
  • Exceptional level of integrity, professionalism and job performance that inspires excellence in others and contributes to Western's mission and values.
  • Exhibits and encourages excellence in initiative, creativity and willingness to explore new ideas through work and interaction with others.

The award is presented annually at fall convocation by President Bruce Shepard, and the recipient’s name is added to the PSO Employee Excellence Award plaque located in Wilson Library.

Nominations are easy and can be made online. Any university faculty or staff member may nominate a pro staff member. All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. June 26. Nominations will be reviewed and a winner selected by the PSO Award Committee.
