Professional Staff Organization’s Award for Excellence Nominations Now Open

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Professional Staff Organization’s Award for Excellence award.

This award honors one Western Washington University professional staff annually for demonstrating one or more of the following attributes:

A.   Exceptional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in the performance of her/his job duties to the benefit of faculty, staff and students.

B.   Exceptional level of integrity, professionalism and job performance that inspires excellence in others and contributes to Western's mission and values.

C.   Exhibits and encourages excellence in initiative, creativity and willingness to explore new ideas through work and interaction with others.

The award is presented each year at fall convocation by President Sabah Randhawa, and the recipient’s name is added to the PSO Employee Excellence Award plaque located in Wilson Library. 

Nominations are easy and can be made online. Any university faculty or staff member may nominate a PSO member. All nominations submitted by 5 p.m., June 30 will be reviewed and selected by the PSO Award Committee.
