Prevention and Wellness Services is looking for student leaders to serve as Peer Health Educators

Prevention and Wellness Services is looking for passionate and dedicated student leaders to serve as Peer Health Educators for the 2017 – 2018 academic year.

This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity that allows students to develop meaningful connections with peers and professional mentors as well as a strong skill set in leadership and education that supports their academic learning and career plans. Peer Health Educators are selected to participate in one of five different topic groups which focus on: body empowerment, emotional resilience, alcohol and drug risk reduction, sexual violence prevention, and sexual health.

The Peer Health Educator Program application process is happening NOW! Information sessions will be held throughout the month of January to provide an overview of the program. Students who are interested in becoming Peer Health Educators must attend an information session and submit an application by January 30th at 5pm.

Visit the Prevention and Wellness website at www.wwu.edu/pws for more information or to download an application. Questions? Call 360-650-2993 or email pws@wwu.edu.
