Presidential search feedback forums Nov. 2 through Nov. 4

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee invites Western Washington University students, faculty, and staff to participate in a series of forums to help shape Western's search for a new president. Campus Community Feedback Forums for Western's Presidential Search will take place Monday, Nov. 2 through Wednesday Nov. 4, and are scheduled as follows:

For students: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 2 in Fraser Hall 101 and 8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, in the 6th-floor dining area of the Viking Union, near the AS Free Speech board.

For faculty: 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, November 2 in Academic Instructional West 210 and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 3 in Viking Union 565.

For classified staff: Noon to 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 3 in Fraser Hall 101.

For professional staff: 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 3 in Biology 234.

Open to everyone: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 in Communications Facility 120.

In preparation for the forums, the Presidential Search Advisory Committee asks participants to consider these questions:

  • What do you see as Western's strengths?
  • What do you think are the most significant opportunities and challenges for Western in the next five years?
  • What skills, professional experiences and personal characteristics would be helpful in leading Western to address those opportunities and challenges?

 

All forums will be attended by members of the search committee as well as its search consultants.

The campus community is also invited to contribute to Western's presidential search through an online survey or by emailing presidential.search@wwu.edu.
