  • Turn off lights and shut windows in unoccupied rooms

Power Down is a collaborative effort of WWU Facilities Management and the Office of Sustainability, to coordinate, encourage and implement utility reduction efforts throughout campus. We believe small actions make a difference.

To view and compare electricity and heating energy use in campus buildings, go to the Energy Monitoring Dashboard  https://energydashboards.wwu.edu/

The WWU Energy Monitoring Dashboard was developed by a team of students and employees, through an AS Sustainable Action Fund Grant. The Dashboard is meant to inform the students, faculty, and staff of Western Washington University about campus wide utility usage. With the data provided by this website, anyone can study campus overall energy trends and individual building usage.
