Learn how to access no-charge, confidential services available for all state employees and their family members. From personal to workplace issues – you will learn about the various kinds of resources and help EAP offers.

Homeowners Insurance 101: Oct. 26, Noon -1 p.m., Humanities 210

Everyone's home should be a place to simply relax, but as your largest financial asset, protecting it and everything inside can cause some worry. Our discussion will help you rest assured that your homes and families are well protected. Learn how to protect homes from perils such as fires, theft, and severe weather, how insurance can protect valuable possessions, and all the basic elements of a home policy.

Retirement: Emotional and Psychological Aspects: Nov. 7, Noon -1 p.m., Humanities 210

Look at the process of retirement from an emotional and psychological perspective. Explore the two-fold process of retirement (pre- and post).  Examine paths retirees often take up on entering into retirement and dispel some common myths and misconceptions that people often make. Examine a few strategies designed to promote and maintain a higher rate of satisfaction throughout the retirement process.

Women and Investing: Nov. 15, Noon -1 p.m., Humanities 210

Review some of the facts about women in today's economy and some of the challenges women face when it comes to saving for retirement.

Take the First Step to Investing: Nov. 22, Noon -1 p.m., Humanities 210

Understand the basics of investing, recognize the importance of asset allocation and diversification, and identify your investment approach.

Gaining Insight: Debt Consolidation: Dec. 5, Noon -1 p.m., Humanities 210

Understand debt and how to manage it. Identify how debt consolidation could work for you. There will also be a brief overview of the mortgage and lending process.
