Policy on reporting financial conflict of interest posted for 30-day review

The Division of Academic Affairs at Western Washington University has posted for 30-day campus review the following policy:

Academic Affairs – Research and Sponsored Programs - POL-U4520.06 Reporting Financial Conflict of Interest by Public Health Services Funded Investigators

The proposed policy is a new policy; it applies to all Public Health Services-funded investigators.

The draft policies were reviewed by groups and individuals across campus and revised to reflect their input. A 30-day comment period is required prior to the final draft review by the President’s Cabinet. The policies will be posted July 10 to Aug. 9, and the campus community is encouraged to review these documents online. Written comments may be sent to policies@wwu.edu or to University Policy Coordinator, mail stop 9015.
