Policies regarding children on campus, safety concerns posted for review

[ Update: Due to substantive changes made to the initial draft, the deadline date for comments on the policy Allowing Children on Campus has been extended to May 9. The 30-day comment period for the policy on Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults remains April 25. ]

The Division of Business and Financial Affairs at Western Washington University has posted for 30-day campus review the following policies:

• POL-U5950.11 Allowing Children on Campus
• POL-U5950.06 Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults and Reporting Concerns of Safety or Welfare

The draft policies were reviewed by groups and individuals across camps and revised to reflect their input. A 30-day comment period is required prior to the final draft review by the President’s Cabinet.
