Policies on using bookstore, ordering course material now available for review

The following policies from the Division of Enrollment and Student Services at Western Washington University are currently posted for 30-day campus review.

The review period ends June 19.

  • POL-U8000.01 OPERATING THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS BOOKSTORE: This policy replaces POL-U8000.01, Using the University Bookstore. To see the current version of the policy, click here. This policy apply to all university personnel and students involved in developing and recommending general policy guidelines for the operation of and/or distribution of revenue from the Associated Students Bookstore.
  • POL- U8800.02 ORDERING AND COMMUNICATING COURSE MATERIALS: This policy replaces POL-U8800.02, Textbook Ordering Policy. To see the current version of the policy, click here. This policy applies to all faculty and staff requesting course materials for university classes from the Associated Students Bookstore.

These policies were reviewed by groups and individuals across campus and revised to reflect their input. A 30-day comment period is required prior to the final draft review by the President’s Cabinet. The policy will be posted May 21 to June 19, 2012, and the campus community is encouraged to review these documents online. Written comments may be sent to policies@wwu.edu or to the University Policy Coordinator at mailstop 9015.
