Please, no glass in the trash!

Environmental Health and Safety would like to remind everyone to take a moment to consider what is being placed in the trash.

A university custodian narrowly escaped serious injury in a recent incident, when large shards of glass that had been placed in the trash  pierced through the bag as it was being lifted.

EHS would like to remind the campus community that broken glass should never be placed in the trash without first being put securely within another container such as a cardboard box.
