'Plastic Paradise' director to screen film, hold Q&A on campus May 12

Angela Sun, director and executive producer of the documentary film Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, will be on campus Tuesday, May 12, to show the film and hold a discussion and Q&A session.

The event, sponsored by the Green Energy Fee Grant Program, is free and open to the public. It starts at 6 p.m. May 12 in Communications Facility Room 110.

The documentary focuses on plastics and how they affect the environment. Before the film, there will be a fun waste-sorting game in which attendees can win prizes.

If you are concerned about the environment or plastics or if you simply want to have a great time, win prizes and meet a film director, RSVP on the Facebook event page or contact Nate White, Green Energy Fee Grant Program coordinator at 360-650-4501 or nate.white@wwu.edu.
