Photography students debut 'Big Heads: Sports' installation in Carver Gym

Students studying photography in the Department of Art and Art History at Western Washington University (WWU) will have a public display of images on the second floor of the newly renovated Carver Gym. The exhibition will be on view from Nov. 5 to Dec. 11.

The display will consist of eighteen 36 x 44 inch images from the project entitled Big Heads: Sports. The Art 370 students utilized the lighting studio and the Canon DSLR cameras acquired through the WWU Student Technology Fund, to explore the genre of portraiture as related to the topic of sports. Working in teams, they created pieces which document each member’s individual concept.
