Phi Kappa Phi to initiate new members Nov. 12

The Western Washington University chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi will hold its new member initiation at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Wilson Library Reading Room.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Membership is by invitation to the top 7.5 percent of juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students. Please join Phi Kappa Phi members in congratulating these top scholars. Nancy Johnson, English, will also be recognized for receiving a Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning award for her work focusing on children’s literature.

The WWU Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. It is a recipient of the Phi Kappa Phi annual Chapter of Merit award which recognizes chapter activities to broaden academic pursuits and has initiated more than 2000 members since 1989.
