Part two of storytelling discussion is Wednesday

Rosemary Vohs, (Woodring College of Education) will present part two of “Storytelling! The Joy of Speaking in Public” at the Faculty GUR Group from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Viking Union Room 462A.

Please join your colleagues from across campus to explore excerpts of her Storytelling (Education 309) course and reflect with participants on the instructional methods she employs.

We all love to hear and tell a great story, but how do we craft a good tale and know how to present it in an engaging way? How can this ancient art form be used to enliven modern classroom learning, improve public communication skills, strengthen corporate communication or enhance environmental education? How can we continue to use personal and cultural narratives to build communities, sustain cultural and family groups or provide creative entertainment? Come to this talk to find out!

All faculty and staff are invited.
