Panel to discuss cloud privacy, cybersecurity May 19

Western Washington University on the Peninsulas and the West Sound Technology Association will present a panel discussing the topics of cloud privacy, LEADS (Law Enforcement Access to Data Stored Abroad Act) and cybersecurity from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at the WWU Center at OC Poulsbo.

Designed for entrepreneurs, stakeholders, STE(A)M supporters, educators, students, elected officials, and all users of technology and cloud computing, the event will feature a lunch from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and a panel and Q&A session from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Panel speakers include Jonathan Friebert, director of external affairs for Microsoft and Voices for Innovation; Michael K. Hamilton, a certified information systems security professional and CEO and founder of Critical Informatics; and Dr. Brad Johnson, associate dean and professor of the College of Science and Engineering at Western Washington University. Charles Keating, president of West Sound Technology Association and president of Keating Counseling Service Inc., will serve as the panel moderator.
