Open forums announced for finalists for WWU Provost position

The Provost and Executive Vice President Search Committee has announced four finalists for the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs position, as well as open forums for each candidate.

Jill Hernandez, March 28-29

University Open Forum:  Mon., March 28, 3-4 pm (Recorded/Translated)

 

Brad Johnson, March 30-31

University Open Forum:  Wed., March 30, 3-4 pm (Recorded/Translated)

 

Kara Rabbit, April 4-5

University Open Forum:  Mon., April 4, 3-4 pm (Recorded/Translated)

 

Farrell Webb, April 7-8

University Open Forum:  Thurs., April 7, 3-4 pm (Recorded/Translated)

 

 

University Open Forums:

Each finalist will present for 15-20 minutes, with the remaining hour to answer questions from the WWU community through the Zoom Q&A.

All open forums will be recorded and translated, and recordings will be posted by Noon the day following each forum.

 

Open Forum presentation topic:

“The pandemic has had a significant impact on teaching and learning at higher education institutions broadly. As we pivot back to face-to-face experience, how would you help to refocus the academy and our students on WWU’s mission and strategic plan?  In alignment of that, are there lessons learned from the pandemic that would continue to influence our mission and strategic plan?” 

 

Feedback Surveys:

Feedback surveys for all finalists are due by Sunday, April 10, at 11:59 pm PST.  All survey responses are anonymous and confidential, and are collected by the executive search firm  WittKieffer.  Individual survey links are located at the search site.
