Open enrollment for WWU employees begins Nov. 1

Open enrollment for Western Washington University benefits-eligible faculty and staff begins Nov. 1.

The month of November is the annual time for employees to make changes to their health and dental plans, enroll or waive coverage for themselves or eligible dependents, and enroll in the flexible spending account and/or dependent care assistance program. All changes are effective Jan. 1, 2015.

Information is available on the PEBB website homepage under Open Enrollment. Employees may review their benefits and make enrollment changes online from Nov. 1 to 30.

Two local open-enrollment fairs will take place on Nov. 13:

  • From 9 to 11 a.m., a fair will take place in Viking Union Room 565 on campus. A presentation on flexible spending accounts will occur from 9 to 9:30.
  • From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., a fair will take place at St. Luke's Health Education Center, Rooms E and F, 3333 Squalicum Parkway. A retiree presentation will happen from noon to 1 p.m. in Room A.

Vendors will be on-site to answer PEBB benefits-related questions. Attendees may learn about changes in rates, benefits, plans and service areas. Plus, information will be available on life insurance, long-term disability and auto/home insurance.
