Online admin systems to be upgraded Jan. 22

To perform operating and database system updates, the following Western Washington University systems will be unavailable or will have limited functionality between midnight and 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22:

  • Banner forms and reports
  • Banner Workflow (WWIS)
  • Banner Travel & Expense (WWIS)
  • Web4U (All Banner Self-Service features in WWIS)
  • Student Health Services
  • FAMIS forms and discoverer reports
  • CAMPUSCALL
  • NolijWeb and DataTransfer
  • Millennium FAST Finance/HR Data Warehouse*
  • Millennium FAST Budget*
  • BI-Query and Banner Student Data Warehouse*
  • myWestern
  • Esign
  • Housing and Dining services

* Data warehouse refreshes and job submission chains will not run overnight on Thursday, Jan. 21, into Friday morning. Data warehouse refresh and job submission chains will resume the following evening as regularly scheduled.

Faculty and staff should log off or shut down their workstations when leaving the office on Thursday.

During the outage, visitors to the myWestern page will see an outage notification with links to available services like Canvas and Office 365 Email.

Services that will still be available include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Email
  • Office 365
  • SharePoint
  • Canvas
  • Western Home Page
  • Library
  • VPN (to connect to local network drives)
