Noemi Ban to speak Feb. 16 at WWU

Noémi Shoënberger Ban, an award-winning teacher and public speaker, will speak from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in Arntzen Hall Room 100 on the Western Washington University campus.

Ban was born in Hungary and survived the ghetto, cattle cars, and Auschwitz. She currently lives in Bellingham.

Reservations are required for this free event; to reserve a space, contact the Northwest Center for Holocaust, Genocide and Ethnocide Education at WWU. The event is being put on by the Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center in Seattle.
