Noémi Ban to be honored at April 27 'living tribute'

The Northwest Center for Holocaust, Genocide and Ethnocide Education at Western Washington University will pay tribute to holocaust survivor Noémi Ban during an April 27 event at WWU.

Tickets for the event, “A Tribute Event to the Living Legacy of Noémi Ban,” are available online.

Ban, a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher and friend, has for decades touched the lives of many by sharing her story, her hope and her love of life. The "living tribute" will include never-before-seen video footage from her latest trip to Poland, a live musical performance, a short theatrical piece based on Noémi’s father’s story and a PowerPoint presentation featuring those touched, from near and far, by Mrs. Ban’s message.

“A Tribute Event to the Living Legacy of Noémi Ban” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in the WWU Performing Arts Center Concert Hall. A small fee is being charged to cover costs: Tickets are $4 for general admission and $2 for students, children, and seniors.
