Motivational speaker aims to help students succeed in school, life

Motivational speaker Hoan Do will deliver a presentation called "Succeeding in College and in Life" to Western Washington University students about how to stay diligent and driven during the bluesy winter quarter on Thursday, Jan. 22.

The event, sponsored and hosted by Student Outreach Services, will be held in Fraser Hall Room 201 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22. Do also will speak to faculty and staff from noon to 1 p.m. in Miller Hall Room 138. That presentation is titled "The Art of Connecting: How to Motivate, Influence and Relate to Any Student."

Marli Williams, academic support coordinator at Student Outreach Services, says the aim of Do's presentations are to help keep students motivated throughout winter quarter and to educate staff and faculty on ways to connect with their students.
