McKinney to read from his novels, play his music at next WWURA meeting

WWU graduate Gary McKinney, a novelist, musician, publisher and current technical writer for WWU's Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, will be the speaker at the Western Washington University Retirement Association's winter luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Northwood Hall, 3240 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham.

McKinney has written four novels, two of them mysteries set in the fictional town of Elkhorn, Wash. He'll read selections from this mystery collection at the event, and also will play cuts from two of his original music recordings and read passages from other published works.
